An inflatable dolphin in a rocking chair greeted us at the curb when we arrived in Columbus, GA, last Saturday. We didn't let a little oil keep the family from getting together for our annual summer vacation. After all, we've been doing this since the mid-80s and reminisced one night with some video footage of our first years there. Lots of bad hair decisions, kids' talent shows, and questionable fashion choices, but tons of good family fun. My cheeks still hurt from laughing! The little cousins got lots of play and swim time together. Victoria even starting swimming the entire pool by herself - with the aid of her floaties, of course. We made a day trip to Atlanta to visit
Imagine It! Children's Museum and the
Georgia Aquarium. We also drove over to Pine Mountain, GA, (home of Callaway Gardens) to check out
Butts Mill Farm. Another fun day for the kids with pony & train rides, play areas, and even a bungee bull! Many thanks to my Aunt Michele for letting everyone invade her house and organizing everything. It is always so great to have the family together - even though we were missing three grandkids and their families. We wish you guys could have been with us!
I took lots of pictures, so click on this pic to see the whole album.

The heart of the family! My grandparents, CD & Mary Glynn.
