My alarm sounded at 5:25 am and I realized there were feet on my back and I had been pushed to the very edge of the mattress. Victoria had snuck into my bed at some point...rascal. A king size bed and that little girl can still manage to take up every inch.
We got ready and headed outside to meet the school bus. I was told it picks up at 6:37 am and they weren't joking. She was very excited about riding the bus...more so than where it was actually taking her, I believe. With barely a backward glance she boarded and Gabriel and I waved goodbye as they drove away. He was pretty bummed to be left behind, but it'll be his turn next week. He asked all day about when Victoria would be home. Other than a mini-panic attack right after she left, I did pretty well. I did promise her I would try to hold it together. ha.
She arrived home right on time and we both gave her a big hug and told her how much we missed her. She told me all about her day and that all went well.
