A few weeks ago at my last appointment with my obstetrician, they noted an inconsistency with the baby's heartbeat. There were times when the heartbeat would drop very low and then come back to where it should be. I actually heard this while they were performing the ultrasound - very frightening. While assuring me it would most likely be no problem, my doctor still referred me to a pediatric cardiologist to have a fetal echocardiograph and check things out. When I contacted the cardiologist, they informed me that I would have to wait an agonizing 3 weeks until I could get an appointment. My appointment was this morning and I am happy to report that the doctor gave me an enthusiastic "I see absolutely nothing of concern." I was able to watch the whole process - nearly 15 minutes of watching my little guy's heart beating away - up close and personal. He gave me an explanation for what probably was happening and assured me that it was perfectly normal at this stage of development.
Yesterday I had MY appointment with the doctor and this morning I went from the appt. with the cardiologist to Victoria's 15 month checkup with her pediatrician! She weighs 20 lbs. 13 oz. (gained 1 lb. since last visit) and is 30 inches long (gained an inch since last visit).
We received good news yesterday afternoon when the couple who made an offer on our house accepted our counter. We are tentatively set up to close and be out of the house by Sept. 29!
I will most likely have to take care of a ladybug infestation I discovered last night. We don't want to leave that for the new owners to deal with. Here is a photo of the culprit.

That's the cutest lady bug I've seen. Great news about the house! I'm glad to hear that your little boy is doing good. I didn't know that there were any concerns, but glad everything turned out okay.
