Last Thursday I took Victoria for her 1st dental checkup. So, we arrived at the office of the pediatric dentist, sat in the kiddie mural-saturated waiting room with projection screening of Nickelodeon, and were promptly escorted back to the chair where she would have her cleaning (complete with individual flat screen TV monitor mounted on the ceiling above the chair). Very posh. Victoria wasn't having it. She screamed her head off and hated every second of it. The
hygienist couldn't handle her with just me holding down her arms and I ended up holding her in my lap while the poor lady tried to get through the cleaning and flossing. I'm sure she's used to it. I was right when I discovered last week that she has FOUR molars coming in at the same time. After she got some stickers and got to dig through a treasure chest of prizes - she was happy once again.
We headed to MS on Friday to do some trick-or-treating with my cousin, Katherine, and her little girl, Mary Kate. Katherine was too right when she said that the girls looked like they were being followed by paparazzi. There were grandmothers, aunts, and moms snapping away at the cute twosome.
To top it all off, Victoria woke up this morning with a sinus infection. I should be thankful that she hasn't been ill since last March, but it really is awful to see her so uncomfortable. I now fully understand when parents say they wish they could take on an illness, instead of their child. I hope you enjoy the video and if you click on the picture below, it will link you to an album of more photos.
