It was on this date two years ago, that I was blessed with the opportunity to be your mother. You have taught me so much - a new way to love, the importance of patience, that I have new goals & purpose to my life, and how easy it is to keep a positive outlook when you focus on what is truly important (to name a few). I think I may have taught you a thing or two in the past couple of years, as well. I promise that we will continue to learn from each other as the years march on.
I love that you can make me smile at any moment, are strong & independent, caring, loving, and gentle. I have enjoyed watching you take on the role of big sister - from helping me put lotion on my tummy each night when I was pregnant, to now whispering comforting words to Gabriel when he is upset.
Time is passing so quickly. I will cherish watching you grow, but please don't feel you have to rush.

Cort, I haven't seen your daughter yet, but I consider myself quite lucky to have watched you grow up from that size. I'm sure that your two are fun because you were so much fun at that age.
