We have been in Gulf Shores, AL, this past week with my family. We left on the Friday before last to travel to New Orleans. We visited with Frank & Marcela and left the next morning for the beach. The weather was great - only a few short thunderstorms during the week which cleared out the water a good bit. Just as Victoria was warming up to playing in the ocean *insert theme from Jaws*, we saw a 5 to 6 ft. long shark thrashing about, snacking on fish about 30 feet from the shore. It was very near where my toddler had been playing on a sandbar the day before. Oh, to have videotaped that. I had just put down my camera.
We spent the night with our friends Carmen & Ignacio on the way back to break the trip and were able to visit with lots of good friends. We miss you all very much and were glad to see you!
