Part of my plan to maintain health & fitness goals was to make my New Year's resolution to run 2-5ks in 2011. Have I mentioned that I HATE running?! I mean, I loved running while playing sports...but I have never been a fan of just getting out there and jogging for the thrill of it. However, I have been committed to jogging regularly for the past 5 months and I have to admit it is sort of growing on me.
Just a little bit!! Once again surprising myself by how dedicated I am to the new & improved Cortney, only 2 days into the new year and I have already registered for a 5k walk next month and a 5k run in April. I have dragged my friend Emily in on my fitness plan and, luckily, my friend Paige is a seasoned runner and has the inside scoop. My timing was perfect because she had recently starting running again after a brief forced retirement to have Amelia. So, now I can look forward to three's company and what I anticipate will be a great support system!

By the way, the race I am doing in April is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am committed to raising AT LEAST $150. I started running back in September, but I have been on break since November-just plain lazy. I also want to run a 5K this year, but I have to get back into running before I can register.
