Busy Busy Busy

We went to New Orleans this past weekend to celebrate the 3rd birthday of good friends Sarah & Gene's son, Andrés! It was so great seeing some of my New Orleans crew and Victoria had a great time at the party with Andrés and playing with her friend Gisele Sophie.

Speaking of birthdays, Victoria has her 4th fast approaching!! For the past month or so, she has been telling me that she wants a big girl bike for her present. Coincidentally, they are learning about bicycle safety this week at school and are having a "Trike-a-Thon" to raise money for St. Jude's. So, she got her birthday present a bit early. If the weather cooperates, she'll get to show off her mad bike skills to her classmates & teachers on Friday. I couldn't help but chuckle as I was loading up the cart with not only a bike, but helmet and knee pads AND elbow pads! When I was learning to ride a bike, the only thing between my head and the pavement was the wind!

This Saturday, Victoria will be traveling to Guatemala with Federico for Easter week. She is going to get to spend a lot of time at the beach - which I know she's going to LOVE. I cannot believe that I am going to be without my girl for a whole week, but I hope that she has lots of fun and a safe trip. Gabriel is going to keep me company and take care of me while she is gone.

As promised, I am running my first 5K race Saturday morning! Stay tuned...
