Wildlife

Last week, our turkeys showed up. I took a picture and while I did a hummingbird flew right in front of me and hovered for a few seconds. We put out a feeder for the kids a couple of weeks ago and have spotted several. A rather large bobcat ran out in front of my vehicle the other day AND I was almost trampled by a baby deer during my jog last Saturday! I was very close to returning home with hoof prints on the back of my shirt. I love it out here!
Not too much going on aside from preparations for the big vacation. Victoria attended a really creative & fun carnival-style birthday party on Friday evening for one of her classmates, Kellan.
Victoria's teacher is already beginning preparations for kindergarten, because we've had two fun homework assignments.
I sent her off to school with a paper sack filled with five-things that tell her class "all about me."
1.) the cover from her Tangled DVD (fave movie)
2.) a few animal stickers (loves animals)
3.) magic wand (loves to pretend)
4.) plastic seahorse (loves the ocean)
5.) we settled on a picture of a praying mantis, although she had her heart set on a real one (unfortunately for me, she is fascinated by bugs)
