It has been a while... I have been busy having a baby, temporarily moving in with my parents, getting acclimated to having two kids, celebrating the holidays, etc. No big whoop. It feels good to start getting reconnected!
December 17th at 1:15 a.m. we left my house for the hospital to start the induction. I was already in labor that morning, so it is nice to know that regardless - the baby was coming that day. Things went well and Gabriel Alejandro arrived at 10:36 a.m. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. (so much for that 7 lb. 6 oz. estimate I got the Monday before) and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is a big boy and it was quite surprising since his sister weighed a mere 6 lbs. 5 oz. when she was born. He is so sweet and very vocal. How much you forget about newborns in such a short amount of time! I forgot how wobbly they are and how hard it is to change their diapers with those little frog legs kicking like crazy. I feel so lucky to have two very healthy kids.
Christmas was great. Our family has grown so much and we had a house full.
Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, emails and phone calls. Can't wait for everyone to meet the new addition!
