Call of the Wild

Needless to say, the kids were very ready to head out the next morning. We took advantage (pretty much every day) of a perk offered to Disney resort guests - Extra Magic Hours. Basically, we get to enter the park an hour earlier than it opens to the general public. There were some days when they stayed open later. Magic Kingdom even shut down at 1 a.m. one day we were there. We definitely did not stay that late.
We headed straight to the Tusker House for our first character meal of the week - Donald's Safari Breakfast. The buffet was yummy and Victoria finally got to meet Mickey, Daisy, Goofy and Donald.

During our first encounter with the characters, we discovered that Gabriel loves them until they get within a two-foot radius. Two feet away - fine. Inside the perimeter - whining and squirming to get away. Victoria got some autographs for her book, we finished breakfast and headed out to have some fun.
We started out on Kilimanjaro Safaris - very neat. Went to Dinoland. Enjoyed a great, live Lion King musical and caught Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. We took a train ride and as we were re-boarding and ready to leave the park it began pouring rain. We put on our ponchos and headed to exit the park. Well, everyone but Gabriel wore their ponchos. He wasn't keen on the idea and preferred to get an early bath.
