Magic Kingdom - Round 1

Thursday was our 1st day in Magic Kingdom. It was, well...MAGICAL! I was 11-years old the last time I was at Magic Kingdom and I felt as giddy as an 11-year old being there again. They had already decorated Main Street for Halloween - which was neat to see. We took some pictures with the pumpkins and headed straight for Tomorrowland. We rode the Toy Story ride - twice! Then Victoria went on something to do with Stitch with Grammy. Gabriel was too short and stayed with me. Then, we let Gabriel & Victoria drive us around in race cars on the Tomorrowland Speedway. I'll just say that his speedway license is definitely the only one he needs for a very long time. Next up was the Mad Tea Party at the entrance to Fantasyland. The tea cups were definitely a favorite - over our three days in MK, I think we rode the tea cups at least 5 or 6 times. There was a very cute Winnie the Pooh ride which must have taken over Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Of course, we rode Dumbo and Gabriel really liked the Carousel. "It's a Small World" was one of Victoria's favorites and, luckily, the lines were always pretty short to go through. I think we did that one a few times, too. We enjoyed a fun character lunch at the Crystal Palace with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. After lunch, we headed to Adventureland. The kids loved the Jungle Cruise, Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Gabriel loved Pirates of the Caribbean. Victoria wasn't a fan of the "shooting." I was very close to getting Victoria to ride Thunder Mountain with me, but she changed her mind when we were halfway through the line. She says she'll do it when she's older. So, we took a leisurely ride on the train around Magic Kingdom. It was so nice to be able to relax and do things at a slow pace. We knew we were going to have more time in Magic Kingdom.
It was a very special day to see my kids enjoying the things that I had loved so much when I was a child. Talk about full circle.
