We headed straight for the Pixar area as we entered the park that morning (Saturday). Even though we were there for extra magic hours, we still had a 20-minute wait to ride Toy Story Mania. It was worth it! It was 3D and a lot of fun! After that, we waited in line to see Buzz Lightyear & Woody. I thought surely Gabriel would warm up to his hero, Buzz...not a chance. After that we waited forever to see Voyage of The Little Mermaid. I thought it was a ride (sounds like a ride, doesn't it???), but it was actually a live performance. It was neat.
After the Little Mermaid we had to run across the park to make our lunch reservation at Hollywood & Vine. It was a Playhouse Disney character lunch. The kids got to see Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny (they're not big fans of Manny...you'll see in the picture) and some of the kids from Little Einsteins. We went to a very disappointing show that was supposed to be about the filming of one of the Narnia films. I'm not a big fan, but Mom was hopeful. Then we went on the Big Movie Ride and it was pretty lame. While we were there, I kind of remembered not liking that park much when I was a kid, either. Oh well...there were some fun parts! Before we left, I suggested to Mom that we cancel our scheduled 2nd day there and go back to Magic Kingdom instead. She was very much in agreement. I think we made it back to our hotel around 3 and let the kids swim. They showed movies on the lawn each night and we caught a little bit of Toy Story 3 that night before the mosquitoes ran us back inside.
